The resistance of few could mean the freedom for many- Find out why readers are obsessed with the best selling American Epidemic Series

It’s been two months since the Ebola outbreak first swept through Nevada. Government and disaster relief agencies have since evacuated the state as the spread of the disease proved unstoppable. Following unprecedented mortality rates, the state is effectively isolated and quarantined and those abandoned are left to fend for themselves.

In Reno, Greg Atkins, a prepper fleeing Ebola hotzones, is on a journey to save his friend, Veronica, from certain doom. After being taken prisoner by a deranged man impersonating a soldier, she finds herself at Base 42—a small, mysterious military outpost and quarantine site. Greg is hot on their trail, but nothing will prepare him for the horrors awaiting him behind the walls of a highly secure base where madmen have run amok, deposed the military, and seized control over hundreds of desperate, dislocated residents. The excitement continues in the thrilling conclusion to the new hit outbreak survival series, “American Epidemic.”

American Epidemic Book 2 The Resistance An Ebola Prepper Survival Tale eBook Roger Hayden

I really liked these books. Over all (as a prepper myself) the book is pretty realistic in a lot of ways. It takes a concept that we all fear and are aware could happen, an epidemic, and walks you through what it is like for one guy in his world, which is very much like our own. I found a lot of the plot to be rather realistic which made the book more relateable. I found myself right in there emersed in his world often reacting the way the main character did. Something nice about the books is that it shows you the different sides of the story by switching characters and I didn't find that confusing, in fact it made the story more believable. The only thing I disliked is how short each one was, but that could just be because I am used to reading large books and I'm a fast reader. Hoping there will be another in the series.

American Epidemic Book 2 The Resistance An Ebola Prepper Survival Tale eBook Roger Hayden Reviews

A gripping novel on a,topic that easily become real life.
makes you think
So realistic it's scary
A great story one possibly true in this time we live.People can be power hungry in bad times. With viruses anything is possible.
The book is well written, and covers what I would happen if something like this happened. The only bad thing is that there isn't another book after this one.
This was a little more like the continuation of Lord of the Flies by William Golding, but with adults. I found the ending to be telegraphed almost from the beginning. Because of that most of the action in the book didn't give rise to the anticipation or have me "biting my nails" wondering what would happen next.
I didn't like the way the books joined together. Book one ends after a home invasion breaches their house and they run to the garage. Book two just randomly starts two months later with Greg shot and veronica kidnapped. How did all of that come about?
